We are Parenesis Cycling
We are one of the longest standing Women’s Bike Racing teams on the UK
scene competing in disciplines across the board; road, track, mountain bike,
cyclocross, time trial and hill climb. Our founding members have racing
experience of over 30 years between them, and over 50 in competitive sport.
Four years ago we partnered with Parenesis who formalised the team set up
creating Parenesis Cycling Ltd. Since then we have been racing as Datalynx-
Parenesis Cycling.
We have enjoyed a long term relationship with our sponsors and promote
both our sponsors and charities by racing at the National level and high
publicity events in multiple cycling disciplines.
The team Encourages Excellence, and have a proven track record as a feeder
team, to get young and upcoming cyclists into teams on the international stage.
Parenesis Cycling has entered a team in the prestigious Tour Series town
centre criterium race series from its inception, and this series is televised
on ITV4. For this year all rounds were also live streamed.
Our team has won numerous national championship events, having
champions at Hill Climb, Team Hill Climb and Masters Hill Climb.
Our Ethos
We are a Women’s Cycling team with a social conscience, with our team
clothing having Prostate Cancer UK Branding in prominent positions and
CLLSA and the Breast Cancer ribbon logos too. These are important charitites
affecting most of us directly or through people we are close to. One in eight
men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer and one in eight women
with breast cancer.
Our team is all about enjoyment and providing a fun, safe, pressure free
environment in which to race in as well as access to top level UK women's
races. We have a proven track record of providing a platform for riders to
develop and showcase their talents and step up to bigger teams.
The team supports 'grass roots' cycling including a Mountain Biking series in
Essex where our sponsorship pays the entry fees for all young people under
12 years old.
